Capstone Portfolio Journal - Module Eight Reflections:
"Without reflection, we go blindly on our way."

Module 8 required us to do our annotated transcripts where we gather all of the courses we have taken thus far in the program and write a brief explanation of what we covered, learned, and did throughout the course. This was a bit more tedious this round because I had to make sure to find the correct course name and number, the year and semester I took the course, as well as all the instructors for the course.
I took inspiration from a previous portfolio’s page where they took little pictures of each class's description that showed up in Desire 2 Learn (the virtual online learning environment that all my courses were carried out through). I thought that was an effortless way to have some graphics for the page that is otherwise very wordblock heavy.
This was a challenging assignment as well because I had to dig through some of the assignments I did for some of my earliest courses to recall what were the main takeaways. At the same time, I had uncovered some assignments I had forgotten I had done that I was really proud of. I considered for a moment whether to add one of my papers I had done for my “Engaging Diverse Students and Families” into my graduate showcase...but decided against it ultimately.
I’m feeling the rush of getting things done as I haven’t been able to go through and clean up minor stylistic things (making links more obvious throughout the website...font sizes and colors, etc.). I’m glad for the next module we’ll have two weeks to complete our website and in that time I’ll hopefully have a chance to tighten up my portfolio.
